[NOTE: Edward Perkins, a saloonkeeper in Belleville, was born in Woolwich, England in about 1823. Although his tombstone records a death date of November 31, the burial register of St. Thomas records his burial on November 29, 1870 which may suggest that Edward died on November 28 or 29. Edward's second wife, Agnes Rowe, married Charles Keirl in Belleville on July 7, 1879 and is buried in the Avondale Cemetery in Stratford, Perth County, Ontario.]
